Michael smiled a little when he realized William hadn't quite understood. When he said he had nowhere to go he didn't just mean it figuratively. He meant it literally too, but it didn't matter. None of them had anywhere to go anymore.

Sisky ran blindly, unable to see through his tears. He tripped over Pete and went sprawling into William. "Oh God. I'm fucked," he sobbed, not really sure who he'd run into but having the idea that it probably wouldn't look good if Butcher was following him.

William's eyes widened. "Sisky!" He tried to lift the boy as much as he could. "What happened?" He hoped Sisky couldn't see much, because the sight of Pete and him covered in blood might have freaked out his friend a little.

Michael had jumped back in surprise when Sisky came hurtling into the clearing, but he moved back. "Sisky?"

Sisky tried to back away from William. "I told him," he said in a small, childlike voice. "He loves me, Bill, but he deserves better so I ran away. I couldnt..." He whimpered and broke down into a sobbing mess.

"Wow, Sisky..." He felt so bad for him, knowing perfectly that it was partly his fault. He rubbed the boy's back. I can't ask him "why the fuck did you do that?"...that'd be rude. "Shh, it's going to be alright. Don't cry."

"Please don't," Sisky moved away from William. "Is that.. Pete?"

Oh fuck what was I thinking? I never should have left Butcher.

He let Sisky go. "Yeah, he had an...accident. Tiny, insignificant. He's doing great now." He kicked Pete's leg, reminding him that he owed William something - his silence, preferably.

"But what about Pete's ribs?" He was about to go on about Gabe but watched William kick Pete's leg. "Oh..."

"His ribs?" Sisky scooted as far away from everyone else as possible. "What happened to him?" He wasn't blaming William, just wondering what happened.

If William told Sisky that Gabe had hit him, he'd have to explain why. If he said that he slept with Pete, he'd be seen as a whore. If he told him about Pete trying to rape him, Pete would surely get his revenge eventually. "He and Gabe got in a fight. Dumb, really. Nothing important." He quickly looked away.

"He should be fine," Michael added, hoping to help William out. "Gabe went to get him some fresh water."

"It was over you wasn't it?" Sisky guessed and hugged his knees to his chest. "I'm sorry. I fucked up your life. I'll leave as soon as I feel like I can stand up again."

You were trying to get him to tell you about that night weren't you? Did you go to far?

William grasped Sisky's arm. "No! Don't go. Please. It has nothing do to with you. I can't tell you what happened, but trust me, it's not your fault." He glanced at Pete, and figured he was better off telling Sisky the truth about the party. "It was Pete. The guy who...well, you know. It was him."

Sisky let himself cry into William's shoulder. "You told them didn't you? What does Gabe think of me?"

"I didn't tell Gabe about that night. I just said what Pete had tried to do." His mouth was suddenly very dry. "But they know about us. I'm sorry, Sisky." He hugged him.

"That's why you don't need me here," Sisky said softly. He reached out a hand to touch William's face.

Please tell me we haven't started something we can't stop.

"I don't think so. He's just upset. He wanted to pretend like it never happened, but I can still feel it. I still remember," He looked at William shyly. "I can't go back to him now."

I hope Mike shows up. Butcher likes Mike right? That would be good. He could be happy.

"You sound like you're willing to give up on him. Don't do that, Sisky. You're a great guy and he loves you. Just because we...just because of one time, you're not a bad person. Tell him I'm the oone who initiated it - it's true." It broke his heart to see the state his friend was in. Tom is all alone, Gabe won't ever trust me again, Pete almost got killed, and now Sisky feels like shit. Someone should lock me up before I do any more damage.
