"Michael, please hold me tighter," he mumbled. As out of character as it was for Pete, that dream had really scared him. He needed someone to cling to, and Michael was a person Pete felt as if he could bond with.

Michael wrapped his arms around Pete more tightly, humming a random song because it seemed like the right thing to do.

Pete began to calm down. His still trembling body felt safer in Michael's arms. It reminded him of all those times when Patrick had to hold him to calm him down after he had a nightmare. Pete trembled as he moved around slowly, resting his head on Michael's collar bone, nuzzling gently into the guitarist's neck.

"Feeling better?" Michael moved his arms to adjust to Pete's no position more comfortably.

Pete slowly nodded his head as he continued nuzzling into Michael's neck. Afraid to fall asleep again, Pete lay in the younger man's muscular arms and began breathing slowly.

Michael suddenly remembered how angry William was when he thought he wa siding with Pete. He had a feeling if they saw him now maybe William and the others wouldn't be so mad at the bassist. He sort of wondered what the fuck was up with Pete.

Pete hated feeling vulnerable around people, but he was hoping that he could trust Michael with this. Every onc ein a while, Pete would get a nightmare and break down. Usually Patrick was around to help him, but this time Pete trusted Michael enough to help him.

Trembling slightly, Pete was starting to feel weak. He mumbled something quietly and looked down at the ground from his position at Michael's neck.

"What is it, Pete?" Michael was aware that Pete said something but he didn't know if he didn't understand because Pete was talking too low or he was thinking too loudly.

"N-Nothing," Pete mumbled. "I was just saying that I haven't had a nightmare this bad in a while. And normally Patrick is there to help me..." Pete glanced down at the ground again, a sorrowful expression forming in his eyes.

"I'm sure Patrick is fine," Michael gave him a little squeeze. There were people he wanted to find too.

"I can only hope," Pete murmured as he looked up at Michael and smiled weakly. "But for now, I have you, and you help just as much."

Michael smiled back and kissed Pete on the forehead. It was nice feeling like he's finally done something right.

I couldn't take care of Tom, but maybe I can take care of you.

As crazy as it sounded, Pete was beginning to think that maybe he liked Michael more than just as a fuck buddy. He actually felt a connection, as abnormal as that was for his character. Michael actually made him feel safe and warm, and right then, it was what he needed the most.

Pete yawned as his sore body began feeling warm again. "What are you thinking about, Michael?" Pete could sense that a deep thought was consuming the guitarist's mind.

"Just wondering how big this island is." He looked around. "I wonder where James is. I got him into this mess. Mike hasn't turned up either."

"I'm sure they'll turn up somewhere," Pete said. Dead or alive, but they'll turn up eventually. Pete sighed as he remembered Mike and James. It'd be nice to see them again. Pete was rather fond of Mike himself. "Hey Michael?"

"What?" Michael looked down at Pete again.

"What exactly happened to our plane? I can't remember anything. All I remember is falling asleep on Patrick's shoulder. The next thing I remember is floating to the shore with Frank," Pete said with a confused look on his face.

"I don't know," Michael smiled sheepishly. "I got hit in the head then I woke up on the beach looking for my hat."

"Hmm... Well I guess we'll have to ask someone else then. That is, if we can find someone that isn't angry with me right now," Pete looked up at Michael with a small smile on his face.

"Yeah, that'd probably work best. I think you're actually the only one who hasn't gotten angry with me," Pete spoke with a surprised look on his face. He's also the only one to care enough to calm me down after one of those episodes...

Michael shrugged. "There's no point in being angry." He wasn't exactly happy about the things he'd learned about Pete, but he wasn't going to beat him up for it.

Pete looked up at Michael again. "Thank you," he whispered as he cuddled closer to the Aussie. Michael was so warm and comforting. Pete needed that. He nuzzled closer to the guitarist's neck, trying to keep warm.

"Where do you want to go now?" Michael asked because he wasn't sure if Pete would want to sit and cuddle all day. If they were going anywhere he'd have to move the both of them.
