Frank gently bowed his head and wrapped his legs around Mikey's waist playfully.

"So," he started, planting his hands on Mikey's thighs. "What's your story anyway? I mean, besides... Tom and all of that."

Most people would have been bothered with someone standing that close to them, but Frank didn't mind people being in his bubble, that way he felt less alone.

"Born in Chicago, Hoffman Estates." Mikey recited, putting his hands firmly at the base of Frank's spine. "Father died when I was nine, mother was a social worker who specialised in children in care. After Dad died, there followed a string of unsavoury boyfriends, until Mom booted the last one out. Met Tom because, well... my mom was his social worker. And... started 504Plan, got kinda big, then broke up." He shrugged. "My life's not really that interesting."

Frank nodded. "I'm sure there's more to it," he smiled lightly. "Did you break someone's heart by going on that plane?" quickly reviewing his question, Frank reformulated. "I mean, d'you have a girl friend waiting for you out there?"

Mikey started to laugh quietly. "If you know a girl that doesn't mind sharing a house with a psycho killer, let me know. I haven't managed to find one yet." His voice turned bitter and serious. "I did have a girl. But she cheated on me with one of the Leones, I forget which one."

Frank's lips formed an "o".

"I'm sure you could find someone... You're quite good looking," he said while examining the other's features.

"I'm overshadowed by most of my friends. Tom, Jon, The Leones, Marin... hell, girls even like Nick because he's the 'funny looking one'!" Michael laughed shortly in exasperation, sarcasm twisting his lips.

Frank bit his lower lip, and forbidded himself on even thinking about what he was going to do. For an instant everything felt right, and somehow he believed that he needed this for his own selfish reasons. He inched forward and softly pressed his lips against Mikey's while his heart groped at his throat to punish him for this act of debauchery.

Mikey visibly jumped as the other man's lips touched his, but he didn't pull away. He tightened his grip on Frank's waist slightly, eyes half closed.

Frank's eyes widened.

This isn't suppose to happen.

Jerking back, he found himself toppling on his back and landing on the sand. He blinked several times, his composure returning to him faintly.

This guy wasn't suppose to do this. He was suppose to shove me away, just like everybody else, not pull me in closer.

Frank felt a hint of remorse at what he had just accomplished. He didn't want to push the guy away, he had just been taken aback.

His elbows maintained his upper body up. "I... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to... I..."

Mikey's cheeks grew redder, and for once he was glad he had a beard. "No, it... it doesn't matter." He cast his eyes down to the sand and gently began to draw patterns in it.

Disoriented, Frank beamed at him like an expecting child, sitting on his knees at a safe distance from Mikey. His tongue wet his lips. "Listen, I'm sorry... I... I didn't mean to push you away, I... well you know... it's just..."

Frank hushed his incessant rambling and inhaled deeply.

"I'm just not used to people taking it seriously instead of jerking away," he admitted as calmly as his racing heart could.

"Most people toy with me." Mikey shrugged, before shaking off his looming depression. "I think there's something in the water in Chicago. We're all sluts."

Flinching, Frank tried to rub off the subtle pinprick off of his heart.

I wasn't toying with him... he thought bitterly. But then again, what was I doing anyway?

He shifted on his heels slightly embarrassed and crimson faced.

A part of him was daring to tell he truth, but the common sense that the plane crash hadn't taken away from him was pulling him away from doing so. Therefore he stood there, silent and waiting for Mikey to decide whether he hated him or not.

"We had planned a concert... that's suppose to start in eight hours now."

"Would you believe following the psycho so he could shoot his exband?" Mikey winced. "Well, that's what Tom thought I was doing. I was actually trying to find Rachel. I heard she was in Australia."

"Who's Rachel," Frank questioned, disapointed the previous moment had come and went as if it hadn't meant anything.

"The girl that... the one I used to date." Mikey rolled his eyes. "It's pointless even trying to date someone though, because I do live with Tom, and the girl would have to be a saint to put up with his screaming and guitar playing and violence." He winced.

See? Now he's already mentionning the girl he likes, nice going Frank. At least he's decent enough not to punch you in the face. No more blunt teenage acts, Iero. That dude's into chicks anyway.

He attempted to smile, but failed, giving out what looked like Pete's favorite face for magazine covers.

"I'm... sorry," he said.

"Don't be." Mikey ran a hand through his hair. "It's not your fault I seem to fall for the car crash romances." He leant back on the sand. "So. Frank. Did you break any hearts by going on the plane?"

Frank smirked wildly, recalling what Ray had said before.

"Not exactly," he laughed softly. "Ray had had dreams about a plane crashing recently and didn't want us to get on this flight when he realized we'd have to travel over the ocean. We dragged him on the plane anyway, but y'know..." he paused. "I think the dude's psychic or something."

By then, Frank had mostly forgot about Pete still lying about a hundred meters away from them.

"But yeah. I'm just not good with relationships at all."

"That... that's creepy." Mikey frowned and wrinkled his nose. "Tom has weird dreams. They're mainly about colours. He had one the night before we were on the plane about these different flashes in blackness, and the flashes moving... down?" He shrugged. "I never knew if they had a meaning or not, but it kinda sounds like a plane crashing when you look back." He patted Frank's hand. "We can be the two 'not good with relationships' guys together."

The blush crept more onto Frank's face than he would have wanted to admit. Why am I even reacting like this?

He clumsily brushed the hand covering his with his thumb, finding soft skin.

Fuck it, he thought bitterly. He had never been an ace at being subtly, and the poker face could only be forced, so why bother to even try.

He looked at Mikey, a spark in his eyes. "You know it sounds weird considering I just kissed you," he mentioned.

"What sounds weird?" Mikey asked, turning his hand over so they were entwined. "I can't think..." He leant over and gently covered Frank's lips with his own, before pulling away. "One all."
