Here comes the rain again

Pete kept trying to breathe in, but he could only manage to get a little oxygen- no where near what he needed to live. Something was seriously wrong here. One of his ribs must have hit his lungs.

If there is a god out there, please don't let me die on this island. At least not like this. Dying while fucking someone might be nice, but not like this. Please...

Pete stared up at William with his eyes still wide open, begging for help. Slowly moving his trembling hand to his chest area, Pete pointed to the left side of his ribcage, a look of fear, pain, and worry plastered on his face.

Someone needs to give him oxygen and it won't be me. Not after the blood he vomited. William moved his fingers down to the place Pete had shown, and touched around to see what was wrong. "It's broken, but it hasn't moved. Thank God. I don't think it directly harmed an organ, but I can't tell like that."

He looked in Pete's eyes again, and couldn't stand to see him suffocate. "I really don't want to do this, but I have no choice. Open your mouth." He took the man's nose between his index and his thumb, and leaned forward. Their mouths locked together as he tried to give him oxygen. Stay with me, Pete. Don't give up.

Wrong rib, dammit!

Pete was in serious distress. He took no pleasure out of William giving him oxygen. None at all. All that mattered to him at the moment was trying to breathe. He willingly took in William's air, and made a mental note to tell William that he forever and always owned Pete's ass if he lived through this. He kept taking in the air, noticing it helping a little, but not enough to where he was even getting the bare minimum of oxygen that he needed. Fearing for his life, Pete's eyes began to tear up, as his life flashed before his eyes. He couldn't die like this. Not this way. He moved his body around a little, trying to see if being positioned a different way would help, only to find out that he was in worse shape than he had first thought. Everything hurt. He could feel every painful motion as he gasped for air, his chest heaving, only making his broken ribs hurt worse. Something was seriously wrong....

He was probably injured from the crash before Gabe hurt him. William moved his head, noticing the Pete's condition hadn't improved much. His lips were stained with the man's blood, and the taste made him want to throw up. "Keep your eyes open and look at me. Try to breath at a regular rhythm. You can do this, Pete, I know it." I don't know what to do. I'm useless.

After all that had happened, Pete was as sore as he'd ever been. The plane crash had damaged his back, he had already fucked a person, he had to run all the way down to get further into the jungle jus to hunt Gabe down, and then Gabe pretty much tried to kill him. This is all so pleasant.. Pete was starting to zone out again. His eyelids kept opening and closing, sometimes rolling to the back of his head before he'd open them again. He needed oxygen. He needed it. He kept trying to stare at William, but seeing as he was deprived of oxygen, the task became hard as he began turning pale and zoning in and out of reality. He tried breathing in and out, but hardly any oxygen was reaching his lungs. He kept staring at William with a begging look in his eyes. This was the first time he had ever looked at someone like that. The first time he'd ever have to giv a pleading look.

If the bone had gone through his lungs, he wouldn't have survived. He can breathe, but he can't take in enough air. That would mean that something prevents him to inhale. When you inhale, lungs expand. Something must be blocking his lungs. He moved his hand accross Pete's ribcage again. His palm felt a bone that had gone too deep inside his chest. I need to move it. Although the man was barely conscious, William needed to tell him the risks of an intervention. "I found what was wrong. If I try to fix it, it'll either save you or kill you. And either way, it's going to be painful. Do you want me to do it, Pete?" His hands were shaking.

Pete kept staring up at William, wondering what was going on in his head as he sat there, touching his chest and giving him a little more pain to deal with. But knowing that William probably wouldn't let Pete just die, Pete managed a nod, and kept gasping for air.

I sure as hell hope he knows what he's doing...

"Okay..." He bit his lip. The rest is really just a matter of luck. If it's pushed deeper in, it's over. His shaking hand over the broken rib, he applied pressure on it before looking at Pete. "Don't you dare die like that." He took a deep breath and, eyes closed, used all his strenght to push up the bone back in place.

Pete bit down into his bottom lip with force as even more pain was given to him. And as William pulled the bone back into place, Pete managed a scream. He didn't quite know how he was able to scream, but he did. But when his bone was back into place, Pete simply turned his head to the opposite side that William was sitting next to, and he vomitted once more. The blood gushed out of his mouth, but that was the last of it. He slowly rolled his head back, and stared up at William, finally able to get some much needed oxygen.

"Are...are you akay? Alive?" He took Pete's hand in his own and held it tightly. For a moment, he had forgotten all about hating him.

It took Pete a few minutes to respond to William. He was a little busy trying to breathe when William asked, but he managed a breathy 'That's a dumb question, Beckett', and he kept staring up at the younger man, thankful for his presence and for saving his life.

Pete managed a weak grin at Michael words, only to reveal that the inside of his mouth was bleeding a little from the impact of Gabe's punch. As he looked back over at William, Pete's weak grin faded into a weak smile, and he whispered,"Well please try not to sic your boyfriend on me anymore, okay?"

William glared at him. "Well, please try not to act like such an asshole the next time." I fucking saved your life and the blame is still on me? You suck, Pete Wentz. "Piss him off again and I swear I won't be there to help you." He tried to sound harsh and brave, but he was still grasping Pete's hand.

Pete looked up into William's death glare and raised his eyebrow. "I was only kidding," he said while giving a weak grin. Damn, he's uptight. "And you know what, William? You own my ass after today." Pete smirked as he waited for a reaction. Maybe a snide remark, or maybe just a slap to the face. I hope he doesn't slap me...

Michael was starting to feel a little awkward but he couldn't leave Pete and William alone. He had a bad feeling about what might happen if he did.

William blushed, remembering what he had told Pete earlier. "That makes us even, then." He let go of his hand. "Try to stay away from me from now on."

Where is Gabe? I'll take the water to wash my hands.

He didn't slap me! Pete rolled his eyes at William. For some reason, he could tell that this wouldn't be the end of William sleeping with other men while he was with Gabe. It was just...predictable. "Hey Bill, thanks. I appreciate it."

"Call down, William," Michael watched. He saw something in his bandmate's eyes that could spell trouble later.
