I won!

Michael moved over to Tom without a second thought. William wasn't here so it wasn't awkward anymore, and it was easy to push his guilty feelings to the back of his mind.

Michael didn't know what hit him.

Michael frowned in his sleep. The dream he had was just horrible enough to jar him back to reality.

"Tom?" but Tom wasn't anywhere in sight. Michael was all alone. He got to his feet and started walking in the direction he was facing. He had to find someone.

Michael found himself face to trunk with a tree that had carvings on it. It was a good thing he wasn't moving fast yet or he would have run into it.

He head the message, running his fingers over the letters in disbelief. What went wrong? He should have been clearer. He should have said he was fine with everything.

"Tom," Michael hugged the tree. He had to find him.

"Looks like we'll have to go with Plan B," Sisky looked around.

Michael continued staring at the tree with Tom's message carved in it. He tried to will himself to move, but he didn't know the first place to look for Tom, and he didn't have the puppy to help sniff the man out.

"I want to say skip to the crying part just because I'm not gonna lie to you, it looks pretty hopeless," Sisky's lips curled into a half-smile, "But that's giving up too easily. I'm sure we'll find something."

[Wow... awkward... haha]

Michael heard a voice he was sure he hadn't since setting foot on the island and stiffened. He released stepped away from the tree and back into the open. "Adam?"

"It's Michael. Tom must be here if you said they were together," Sisky grabbed William's hand and dragged in in the direction of the voice he had heard.

He called me Adam... Sisky's fine. How many times do I have to say that? Jeeze.

Michael blinked at them both when he could finally see them. "But you're dead. Where did you find him, William?"

"Thanks for believing in me too, Chiz. You guys should form a club," Sisky pouted and adjusted the boxers he was using as a hat to keep the sun off of his head.

Michael pointed to Tom's message carved in the tree. "He knocked me out and left."

"William?" Sisky moved closer to William and looked up at him, fear in his eyes. "What's going on?"

"I'm sorry," Michael put his head in his hands. "I let him go. It's my fault. I should have taken better care of him. This always seems to happen when I'm around."

You're better for him. He needs you.

Sisky's eyes widened and he gripped William's arm. "I hope you know what you're doing. There aren't any hospitals around here you know. If he hurts you then..." Then it's pretty much game over.

"I mean hey you know I love Tom and all but I don't want anything bad to happen to you." Basically I don't want you to die, but I'm not going to say that because you already look as scared as I am even knowing what the hell's going on around here. You're like a brother to me, Bill. I'd really miss you. You have no idea how much I look up to you guys.

"I could have stopped him," Michael said quietly, refusing to look William in the eyes or look at Sisky at all.
