"Okay," Sisky looked skeptical but this was William they were talking about. He trusted that William would know what he was doing, so he dropped his hand from the singer's arm and curiously watched Michael to see what he would say.

Michael let his eyes dart upwards for a few seconds before dropping them again. "I can't. He has... " Michael looked up for a few more seconds to make sure. "He has underwear on his head. Are you sure I'm not just dreaming this?"

William stared at Sisky. Of course he had noticed - but it hadn't occurred to him that it was a little strange. "Erm...yeah. What is that for?"

Maybe this is just one big crazy nightmare.

Sisky blushed. "It's hot outside and it's good to cover your head when the sun's hot. I learned on TV that in emergency situations you can use your boxers as a head covering. I couldn't open that trunk by myself to see what was inside..." He just let it go. Nothing he could say would make him seem any less ridiculous.

"Was that on the show you watch where that Brit used his pants as floaty?" Michael frowned, remembering something from what seemed like forever ago. He watched Sisky shuffle around in embarrassment and decided to drop it.

"What do we do, William?"

"We find Tom. Pronto. If something happens to him, I sue every single member of the airport crew for letting him carry a gun." He raised a finger. "If he carved that it the tree, chances are he went in that direction. I say we go that way." And we hurry.

"Right." Sisky scratched his shoulder and started in the direction William pointed out.

Michael looked hesitant. "You can go on ahead without me..."

"Why? I mean..." He swallowed. "What if it's you that Tom wants to see?"

Before Sisky could interfere, he added, "We have to play fair in this."

Sisky skidded to a stop and huffed, clearly on William's side in this.

"You really want me to?" Wait that was stupid he just asked... "Okay... But if he does, then what will you do? You're going to be alone." Michael blinked at Sisky. Leaving William to alone to be accompanied by only a man with boxers on his head seemed like a bad idea.

He looked at Sisky. "That's when I'm supposed to cry, right?" He laughed.

"Look, this is your decision. I can't help you on that one. Do whatever you think is best. If you think this is too awkward, I won't force you to come."

He gave a thumbs up and started trying to leave. "Let's go."

"Thank you," Michael looked relieved and made no sign that he was going to move at all.

William smiled. "I guess you know what you're doing, Aussie." May the best man win, then.

He tugged Sisky's sleeve. "Follow me."

Sisky realized he was drifting in the wrong direction and smiled sheepishly. "You're the leader."

William walked pretty fast, and was surprised Sisky could keep up without complaining. It was not in his friend's habits to do so, but being involved in such a story might have affected him.

Gabe went in that direction, too. I wonder who we'll encounter first?

"If we keep walking, maybe we'll get signs of life eventually."

If we do meet someone, Sisky will be there to witness everything going on. I should keep that in mind.

Sisky looked over his shoulder and gave a little wave to the Aussie as he was leaving just to show he wasn't mad at the man. He did like Michael, after all. They were friends.

Michael considered following from a distance, but it would be easier to let go this way. He sat on the ground and examined the healing wound on his wrist.

William sneered. "You're weird, you know that? I don't get you. Why me instead of Michael? Why should Tom choose me?"

"Well thank you. As long as its in a good way, that's fine with me." But hmm why does William deserve it more?

"Sometimes you seem a little sad when nobody's around," Sisky said meekly, hinting that maybe he observed more than he let on. "You should be happy, you deserve it. You should be with whoever you love."
