Gabe kept looking at the three men.
"Yeah, I think you guys have had your load of pain and blood for now. Just remember to add the sex next time you do it."
And he felt a jolt in his insides when he realized what he had said. He looked at William.
"Uh... sorry?" he said with a small voice and a discreet and innocent-looking smile.

"Sex is always the missing part." He smirked, hoping Gabe would get it. Thankfully neither Tom or Michael noticed.

Why the hell is that still on my mind? I'm over it.

"Haha. Sure is" he answered, giving him a wink.
He lowered his voice, so only William could hear.

"Don't worry about it, 'kay? I don't know what got into me this morning. I'm sorry I acted that way. You won't catch me twice acting that way, I garantee that to you" he said.

William smiled and nodded, visibly satisfied.
What Tom doesn't know can't hurt him...right?

Tom made him feel complete, but Gabe made him feel good and he couldn't deny it. He was inevitably attracted by the man's manners.

"So, um... shouldn't you be pressing or elevating somewhere?" he casually asked, pointing Tom.

His hands, however, remained in his pockets. One came out, scratched Gabe's head, and went back in. The way Gabe moved made his necklace very slightly rock one side to another on his chest.

He slowly lifted Tom's arm. "I suppose you wanted to get rid of the pain, but that pretty much did the opposite. Don't try anything like that again."

"Sorry." Tom whispered. "It's just... it's so useless now." He gave William a sad smile. "I'm fed up with being useless."

William lightly kissed Tom's cheek, discretely enough so that neither Gabe nor Michael would see.

"I can't even take pictures now." Tom said forlornly. "What am I good for? You might as well kill me now, instead of slowly dying. Only now we're short of a knife." He shot Gabe a glare. "We'll have to try find my suitcase."

[nope. but gabe was momentarily an asshole and wouldnt help. and he was mad because michael stole his shirt to help tom.]

"As long as we're stuck here, taking pictures is out of the question. Once we get back home I'll take you to the hospital and everything will be fine. You'll need physiotherapy for a couple of weeks and then your arm will be back to normal. Trust me."

"It's not going to be ok." Tom whispered. "It's not going to heal right, William. It's broken in at least four places. And I've probably damaged the nerves." He picked miserably at the scars on his wrist.

"There's no way you can know for sure until you've seen a doctor." He placed his hand over the scars. "Even if it doesn't heal right, they'll still be able to correct it. There's always a way."

Tom stared at the younger man's hand, a blank look on his face. "I'm scared." He whispered, raising full grey eyes to look at William. "William, I'm scared."

Cupping his cheeks with both hands, William whispered back, "Don't be. I'm here. Michael's here. As long as you have us, everything will be fine."

I'm scared too, Tom. I'm so scared. I'm not strong enough for this.

Tears leaked out his eyes, hitting William's hands. "I miss how we used to be." It was a quiet, unsure whisper. "I miss everything being so simple."

Tom struggled up into a sitting position and gently kissed William's unresponsive lips. "Thank you for caring."

Michael scratched his head. He had no idea what was going on before but now? Tom kissing William took the cake.

He tried to hide the confusion etched all over his features by bending and picking up a leaf to slowly shred to pieces.

Tom bit his lip and stared at William nervously. "He'll never... it's... he won't... I'm..." Stuttered things passed through his lips. He turned his head to look at Michael and stopped.

Michael tried to pretend he wasn't uncomfortable with being stared at like there was something he wasn't being told.

Now was the perfect time to recover that hat. He stepped over to pick it up, placing it gently on his head just in case the sores still hurt.

He couldn't do much to help. It was Tom's decision, after all.
He could have Tom all for himself, but could he be with him knowing he liked someone else?

Tom took a deep breath and clambered off William's lap. He cast a sad look at the younger man.
It's not fair on him. Why do I always hurt him so much?
"Michael? Can I talk to you?"
