Tom rubbed his eyes and yawned. He didn't think he'd been asleep for very long. He looked around, drawing himself up into a sitting position. His eyes suddenly widened and he scampered to the cliff face.

Mikey wrinkled his nose as water dripped down his face. "I'm never going to see you again." He whispered with realisation. The singer placed a hand tentatively on his face and trailed his fingers across, remembering Frank's looks.

Tom hugged Marlee to him and put the suitcases down. Tears filled his eyes as he watched Pete and Michael interact.

I'm being selfish. I chose William. He told himself, breath catching in his throat. Michael wasn't mine to give. But he couldn't stop the tears in his eyes. He wiped them away with a sigh. He moved his gaze on, to Mikey and the man next to him. Even watching them, he could see it. Oh Mikey, you as well? I hope he's worth it. He kissed the top of his baby's head. His eyes hovered over the blonde teenager trying to climb the cliff face. Hey, Aussie, who's the kid? Marlee curled her fingers around his thumb again and cooed. Right. I've got you now. And you're more important than anyone. Despite his thoughts, he stayed in the shadows; watching; waiting.

This time, Frank shuffled Mikey's hand away because the tears were not only strolling down his cheeks; they were splashing in the pond. Frank wasn't allowed to cry, he was the one that was suppose to help out.

He pulled Mikey into a warm, tight embrace, his mouth pressed firmly against his shoulder as he took in his scent. Next to Tom, he noticed a new arriver was looking toward them.

"Meine Gitarre!" Tom squeaked, jumping up and down. It was just out of reach. He pouted and kicked the cliff face. "Oww..."

"What?" Mikey turned his head in confusion. "What's going on?" He pulled out of Frank's embrace and drew his knees up.

"There's someone standing over there. I don't know him."

Frank got up, still laying his right hand on Mikey's shoulder blade to affirm his presence.

"You there! Who are you?" he called out.

Tom swore under his breath, then remembered the baby. He murmured an apology. He wanted to stay hidden, he just wanted to watch. Everything would be awkward now. He wanted to stay here. Silence from the onlooker.

"Meine gitarre!" Tom screeched again, dreadlocks bouncing as he tried to reach it, oblivious to everything else. "MEINE GITARRE!"

"Maybe it's another survivor." Mikey muttered, rubbing his face with his hands. He wrinkled his nose as he poked himself in the eye. "Great."

A hyper Tom caught his attention. Frank couldn't understand German, but anybody could figure out the words that were the same in English. "I'll be right back," he promised Mikey. "Wait for me here."

He jogged closer to the new comer and yelled at Tom, "Don't worry, we'll get it afterwards."

He turned to the man, approaching slower. "Hey..."

Tom's eyes narrowed slightly. "Hey..." He replied shortly, boosting up Marlee in his arms. His eyes slid sideways, looking through Frank to Mikey.

Tom wasn't sure what Frank said, but he got the gist and nodded. He'd left Mikey alone. The teenager frowned and scampered over. Mikey shouldn't be alone. "Hallo." He said quietly, sitting down beside him.

"Hallo." Mikey replied quietly, glad of the company. He reached out a hand and the younger boy moved within reach. He toyed with the dreadlocks thoughtfully.

Frank felt there was some sort of force field, a line he wasn't allowed to cross to get closer to the man. Some kind of safe distance the man kept. He tilted his head to the side, not entirely sure he had the man's full attention.

"Who are you?" he asked. "Were you on the plane too?"

Tom nodded and the baby in his arms grizzled. "Sshhh..." He whispered, eyes still fixed intently on Mikey. "I was on the plane." He said quietly, boosting Marlee up again.

"Ich habe meine Gitarre gefunden!" Tom grinned, moving even closer to the older man. That reminded him. He needed to wash his hair.

"Uhhh... Sehr gut." Mikey wrinkled hise nose, rolling the hair between his fingers. Already, he was learning to use his other senses to compensate for his lost sight. "Ich spiele auch. Und singt." He smiled in the direction of the voice.

The suggestion that the man didn't want to reveal his name made Frank feel uneasy, made him want to walk away. Of course, he knew better. Maybe the guy was just a loner.

"Huh... would you like to come with us? I think Michael -that's the guy in the water over there- just caught some fishes. We can always share."

Tom gave a bitter smile. "I know who Michael is." He said quietly. "Mikey doesn't eat fish." Marlee gnawed on his thumb again. He tossed his blonde hair back and finally looked at Frank with dark grey eyes.

Mikey nodded silently. He recognised the band. He didn't bother saying Wax On Radio, the boy would never have heard of them.

Something in Frank's head snapped. "Tom?!" he said incredulously. "What... I mean... it's you! You're the guy Mikey keeps talking about all the time..." he paused, not really knowing why exactly he was carrying a baby around. "Mikey'll be so happy if he sees you're... I mean..."

The statement took Frank by surprise, and he sincerely wished he had formulated it through another way. "...just come with me, Mikey searched for you everywhere."

Tom leant on his knees, feeling sleepy again as Mikey toyed with his hair. He always did.

"Mikey will be happy to know I'm alive." Tom rephrased the statement how the other man intended it to sound. He laughed again. "Will he?" Marlee stared at the dark haired man wide eyed.
