Michael smiled sightly, amused at finding himself with another sleeping Tom in his arms. Hopefully this one wouldn't try to steal his heart.

Tom gasped as he came out of his dream. He stared at Michael in sleepy confusion, moving his hand to rub his eyes.

"Fremder traum." Tom mumbled, wrinkling his nose. "Bill war klein, dann älter." He yawned, leaning his head on Michael's shoulder.

Michael assumed that maybe the boy had dreamed about his brother and hoped it wasn't anything bad. He wasn't really sure if he should let go now or not.

Tom's eyes flashed suddenly. He remembered. "Broter... ummm..." He measured a small distance from the floor with one hand and then held up five fingers. "Dann..." He moved it up, before holding up ten. "Ja?"

"Yeah," Michael nodded.

He dreamed about his brother being five then ten. I wonder what happened.

Tom chewed on his finger thoughtfully, wondering how he could tell Michael what happened. His eyes suddenly brightened and he snapped a twig off a tree and began to trace things in the sand.

Michael watched over Tom's shoulder to see what he'd draw. It must have had to do with what he dreamed.

Tongue poking out his lip, Tom drew a stick person and labelled it with his name. He drew the small Bill, and then he drew Small Bill running away to Small Tom (The five year old versions labelled Bill and Tom - 5) He then drew Middle Tom unconscious on the floor and Middle Bill standing over him. He bit his lip, before crudely scrawling the word that had resulted in him being hurt.

It was the same in German.

Michael gave Tom a little squeeze. He grabbed a stick and drew an arrow pointing to the word 'faggot' wondering why that was part of the dream.

Tom shuffled away from Michael slightly, before rubbing out Michael's arrow. He pointed to the comatose Middle Tom and then pointed to the word, then the figure of the other boy. His cheeks burned with shame.

Michael pulled Tom back to where he was before. It wasn't like he hadn't heard of anything like that before. He gave him a little hug to show he wasn't disgusted.

Tom relaxed in relief and hugged Michael tightly before letting go. "Vielen dank." He whispered, hoping Michael would understand.

"You're welcome," Michael hoped that meant thank you and he hoped what he said sounded similar to the German.

Tom nodded and smiled at Michael. "Der Strand?" He asked tentatively. "Bill dürfte dort sein..."

Michael looked at Tom thoughfully, knowing it was about Bill and wondering what the boy wanted him to do.

"Umm..." Tom bit his lip. He drew lots of stick figures in the sand and looked up to see if Michael understood.

Michael pointed to the drawing and then the direction he thought the beach was in. He hoped that was a beach, and he really hoped he was pointing in the right direction.

"Leute? Andere Überlebende?" He drew the plane crashing and then pointed again to the stick people. "Ja?"

"Yeah," Michael nodded. There were people at the beach. He had been there. He just didn't know who was there now.

Michael stood, pulling Tom to his feet as well. He pointed in the direction of the beach. "Let's go."

He pointed to the picture and said, "beach" hoping Tom would do the same in his own language.

"Uhh... Strand?" Tom tried tentatively, hoping he was doing what Michael asked. He bent down and scooped up a handful of sand. "Sand." He pointed to it, before pouring it out his hand.
