He turned and stormed off in the direction of his little shelter.

If he had been a tad younger, that would have been considered harsh. But he's 19, dammit. I can joke around.

Why the hell does he keep doing this? Do I look like some idiot you ditch every 5 hours or so?
He looked at the puppy. "You know what? I'm beginning to have doubts now" he said in a sarcastically serious tone. "So I said I'd wait. That doesn't mean he can run off with any guy he likes. Am I calm? Sure I am. Boy I'd could use a joint right now... I can even smell it."
He lifted his head in the air. "I think I've gone mad" he told the dog "'Cuz I can really smell it."
