Sitting in the rickety wooden chair on his front porch, Pete closed his eyes, taking in the scent of the surrounding flowers and trees that had already reached full bloom. Breathing slowly, he attempted to rest during this moment of serenity and peace. Hands laying on his chest in a delicate manner, he began to dream about a time and place in his childhood when he took part in summertime activites. He remembered the long bike rides and strenuous water battles in which he would always end up being drenched in a mixture of sweat and water. He smiled weakly, and continued to drift off into the depths of his memories, enjoying the silence and the smells that reminded him of that past.
