Gabe patted Sisky on the back gently. "It's not entirely your fault, Sisky Business. Just..." He breathed. How ironic of me to be saying this."...learn from your mistakes." He let go of him and looked at the younger man's tear-stained cheeks. He smiled gently.

Having had his moment to comfort the boy stolen by Gabe the Butcher watched as he held onto the small girl in his arms, bouncing her slightly in order to keep her calm through the emotional breakdown of his little Santi.

"Sisky..." He started quietly, wanting Gabe to at least have his moment with him. At least you care. And I thought I knew William so well." "I just ... I didn't realise he ... he used you like that." He added in a soft tone, not wanting to disturb Marlee.

"I'm sorry," Sisky looked up into Butcher's eyes from over Gabe's shoulder. You should probably be the one holding me right now. I've screwed up again.

Gabe saw the two men's looks. He stood up and gently took Marlee from the Butcher's arms. "Anyways... I'm really sorry" he said, unsure if it was to Sisky or the Butcher. "I'll feed her now."
And he turned away from the two men with the luggage in one hand and the baby in the other arm. "Ssh" he whispered at Marlee as she squirmed about. "You'll get your bottle now." And he opened trunk.

Sisky realized the implications of what he'd said and walked over to pat Gabe's back. "Maybe I'm just being paranoid," he said quietly before moving over to the Butcher and wrapping his arms around the older man.

Watching their small interactions made the Butcher realise that of all people he didn't need to worry about his boy and Gabe. It semed that over everyone that he would consider as competition Gabe was legitimatly a nice guy who had got caught up with William, a person he'd once thought he knew like no other.

He wrapped his arms around Sisky as the boy moved to hold his body against him. "Gabe, do you ... we could stay here if you wanted. We don't have to go to them."

Sisky hid his face against Butcher's shoulder with a small whimper, whispering apologies to him without ceasing. You don't seem to hate me. I take that as a good sign. I really hope I'm misreading you William. As much as you scare me right now, I don't want you to get hurt.

Sisky wrapped his arms more tightly around Butcher and whispered, "Did you hear that?"

Tom placed a hand on his gun. "Would you two shut up!" he hissed.

Gabe's hand held a bottle over Marlee's face as she swallowed huge mouthfuls of the milk. He disliked the fact that he had had to use the water from the waterfall; he had had no choice. It was the only H20 available that wasn't salty. He heard voices and looked up at the entangled Butcher and Sisky.
"Did you hear...?" his hands still held the baby and the bottle.

Holding Sisky a little tighter as he heard the slight fear in the voices of his partner and of Gabe as they heard the sound of something creeping in the shadows. He loosened his grip on Sisky and moved out of the boys arms, moving over to the direction they had both claimed to hear a noise from.

Sisky felt exposed outside of the Butcher's arms, so he followed the older man and hid behind him, pressing himself close to his older partner's back. "Maybe they went away?"

"Andy?" Michael looked at William, recognizing the voice. "You said you found the Butcher right?"

Tom pulled out his gun, aiming it in the direction of the voices. "Show yourselves!" He ordered, looking down the barrell. He took no chances anymore.

William looked at Tom, wide-eyed. "Tom, I've got a bullet wound," he whispered. "Put that thing down or they'll get the wrong idea."

Wrapping one arm back behind him to keep Sisky close he carefully stepped forward. He cleared his throat and took a deep breath before projecting his voice louder. "Whose there? We're not armed, we just want to know who you are."

Sisky put his cheek against Butcher's back and squeezed his eyes shut, "Be careful." I don't want to lose you now that it seems like you're finally mine.
